Got myself a massive head cold. I am on day 4: the beginning of the great tissue massacre. Here is hoping this cold goes away quickly x.x

The beginning of the week was pretty uneventful. At least that's what I'm going with. This cold is making it hard to remember what I even did that long ago. Wednesday, according to my fun little calendar, was "Extraterrestrial Culture Day", so I celebrated after classes by sitting outside enjoying the nice weather and writing more of my story. I don't get to write much lately, especially since this is my last semester, so it was nice to take some time and work on it.

Wednesday night they preemptively cancelled everything for Thursday. We ended up getting only a couple inches that stuck, since the weather the day before was so warm. Since it snowed the temp hadn't gone above 40 degrees. I really don't care for winter. If I could find a climate where the temp was 50-75 year-round, I would never leave. Anyway, since I had the day off I tried to get more research and planning done for my thesis. My acquiantances pestered me throughout the day, but I managed to get at least a little bit read. Friday was much the same.

Saturday was an awesome day. I went to visit my best friend again. The plus side of being up here for school is that now she is only an hour away, so I can visit her once in a while. We went to a mall near her, and wandered around. I learned about art markers and had fun coloring with gel pens (I'm not an art person, but I am easily amused by gel pens~). We went to Barnes and Noble and I got two new books (Apocalypse Now Now (Human) and The Light Fantastic (Pratchett)) and a mini desk aquarium.

At Hot Topic I picked up a couple of the mystery box figures. I got a Gir plushie keychain, a cute little Deadpool statue, and an adorable little comic Deadpool button. I'm pretty excited because they were all the ones that I wanted! I usually have really horrible luck with the mystery boxes. I also got myself comfy Assassin's Creed guys pajama pants and a Lego Batman tank that says "GO TEAM ME" that I very much enjoyed. I'm hoping to see the Lego Batman movie soon. We wrapped up the mall trip with a stop in the amazingly wonderful candy store, where I got myself some snacks. After the mall we hung out and chatted for a while. She even showed me the demo for For Honor, and it looks pretty fun!

TV Shows/Movies: During Wednesday and Thursday I rewatched most of Firefly, my favorite show. I don't think I will ever get tired of it. I am also just about finished with Glee. I am on season 6 episode 12. It's getting a little better, but less realistic with every "plot twist". I also kind of miss them doing classic songs more often. I feel like now it's once every 4 episodes or so. On the Supernatural front, I am on season 6, episode 2. Making slow, but steady progress.

In terms of movies, the only notable one I have watched recently was Kingsglaive. I finally got around to watching it and... *dreamy sigh* I have a new favorite FFXV character. Sorry Gladio, but Nyx... yep. I refuse to believe what happened to him happened. Nope. He is out there somewhere being awesome. Shhhh don't tell me different.

Gaming: I haven't had much time this week to play, but I did spend a little time in Destiny. I miss being in space, and it was nice to bum around again. I don't have a fireteam anymore, which means the difficulty has been upped, but I don't mind. They must have changed some of the rules for drops, which is nice because it means I won't necessarily have to hop into LFG and raid a ton just to get better gear. I also spent some time in Thief at some point, but I can't remember if that was this week or last week. I am a couple chapters in and looking forward to continuing it.

Hope everyone had a great week!

I'm excited, I'm only a week away from heading off to camp for the summer! That sounds kind of dorky, I know. I'm so excited to be a riding camp counselor this summer.

I've been home on break for a little over a week now. It's been relaxing, for the most part. I got myself a new pair of glasses. My old ones were a bit off because my bad eye is getting better (my right eye is super near sighted, but is improving. The left one is fine). The new ones are transition, and scratch resistant. I also went out of my usual comfort zon and got a Vera Bradley pair. Normally I don't care for her stuff, but I thought they looked really good one me, and the colorful part is mostly hidden underneath.

I also went to see my dentist. Guess who gets to have another root canal... A bit of background: my genetics, in a lot of ways, are awful. When it comes to dental stuff, I got the short end of the genetic stick. Essentially, I'm screwed no matter what I try because my teeth are way too fragile. Soft bristles tear them up, alcoholic mouthwash eats them alive, and even just eating food damages them. Plus, I had 3 permanent baby teeth. 3. Had. Ended up getting them removed because, go figure, they were causing health concerns. This will mark my third (and hopefully final) root canal. Goodie. I am getting ti done Tesday, and I leave for camp on Friday of next week, so hopefully I can get in to see my normal dentist that Wed or Thurs to see if I can get a permanent filling, or if I have to get a buildup for now and then a crown when I get back at the end of August. Really aggravating timing. I called a month back to get an emergency appointment that weekend when I was back in town, but the idiot secreatry chick I spoke to (who deserves to be slapped) essentially told me I am a POS for not being psychic, and for making her have to do her job. So the ealiest appt she would give me was yesterday... a month after I called, and over a week after I got back. If she had given me one of the open slots (which I knew were open when I called thanks to their website calendar) I could have this whole process done before heading to camp. But because she had to be a disrespectful little snot, now I'm forced to rush things, which can't actually be rushed. I freaking hate people. I had planned to let the owner (my dentist) hear all about the incident, but as soon as I told her the chick's name she said she had been "let go" because of some concerns about her job performance. So I guess that was good to hear.

In happier news, I had a good Saturday. I went to hang out with a certain guy I talk to all the time. The week I moved to school was the week he moved practically down the road from me. We swapped states. The Universe is an ass. So we wanted to hang out while I am in town, before I head off to camp. We hung out and watched movies for over 12 hours, haha. No, we didn't do anything else. It was actually kind of fun. We both enjoy sarcastic commentary. I think our running commentary during Starship Troopers was the best. We also watched Wreck-It Ralph, Ratatouille, Monsters University, and Aladdin. I think that was all of the movies. Hopefully I can escape and we can hang out again this weekend. We are thinking of binging Archer, but I will probably bring a couple of movies, too. This guy doesn't really watch tv or movies... and it saddens me, the references I make that he doesn't get. So we have a long list of stuff to watch! Oh! We also went on a really nice walk around his area. It's a really pretty little suburb, and the weather was pretty much perfect (up until the severe thunderstorm warning - we made it back in time, don't worry). And while we watched movies I also got to see Agent KITTY, his cat. Ok, her name is Smores, but I call her Agent KITTY because I am taking over the world and she is going to help me. Shhhh it makes sense, honest. She was rather curious about having a visitor over, and eventually started coming over to say hi. He has a fake fireplace in his tv stand and he turned it on and she kept attacking the fake flames. It was pretty funny.

On the TV/Movie, front, I recently watched the first 50 episodes of Steven Universe on Hulu. I have to say, it grew on me after the first 10 episodes or so. It took a bit for me to get past the oddness (for lack of a better word). It's not my kind of thing, but I can see why people really like it. I am currently working through The Mindy Project. RomComs are almost never my thing, but I have to say I am really enjoying this show. I'm not a comedy person in general, but Mindy actually makes me laugh, and this show isn't a stereotypical romcom/sitcom. I am a few episodes into Season 2 already.

As for writing, I am actually feeling a bit inspired, so I may work on my main story a bit this evening. I am planning to bring my NEO to camp with me so that I can keep writing, in case anything happens to my laptop... I have horrid luck with laptops... Anyway, I am off to go write! Hope everyone is doing well =^.^=
