Many years ago, I was a very active member here on LJ. It helped me sort through what was going on, but then things got in the way and I had to focus on my offline life. About a year ago, I decided to start this new journal. The old one is nothing but clutter and things best left buried.
Here is a little background on me. If you want to know anything specific, ask away! I'm pretty much an open book.
I'm 24 years young, and have big dreams ahead of me to see the world. I love to travel, and hope to be able to see much of the world before my time is up.
I currently am finishing up my Bachelors in Equine Science. I get school credit for riding horses. It's pretty awesome. I've been working with horses for virtually my entire life, and I wouldn't trade them for the world. I'm not one of those weird, crazy "horsey girls", so don't worry. I'm not going to shove horse pictures down your throat. If they're not your thing, don't worry. There is tons more to me than that.
I'm into a strange assortment of things. I cross-stitch, read, play video games, make websites, write tiny java programs, study languages, and all of that for fun. I would consider myself a connoisseur of horror movies, chocolates, and hair dyes. My tastes in music are all over the place, depending on the day.
Games: I play video games rather frequently. Not as much as I used to, but it is one of my main hobbies. I prefer solo open world RPGs, but I have played quite a few FPSes (which I'm usually pretty bad at). I have sunk far too many days into Destiny and have been a Guardian since The Dark Below. Skyrim is one of my favorite games, and owns my gamer soul. I have also been working on FFXV, Dishonored 2, and Theif as of late. I am what they call a completionist gamer, so I keep spreadsheets for many of my games to keep track of quests that I have finished, items I have collected, and trophies I am working on.
TV/Movies: When it comes to movies, I prefer horror and suspense. Vincent Price and Alfred Hitchcock are my horror heroes. My guilty pleasure is chick flicks (The Lucky One, and Shakespeare in Love), but shhhhhhhh you heard nothing. As for TV shows, I like a wide variety of things, including dramas, sitcoms, and animes. My favorite shows include Firefly, Fairy Tail, and Ripper Street. Shows I am currently watching are Supernatural, Glee, Jane the Virgin, and Shameless.
Books: I don't get the opportunity to read nearly as much as I used to. I tend to prefer scifi and fantasy. The less realistic, the better, in my opinion. Books, to me, are an escape. Some favorites are Alanna (Pierce), Good Omens (Gaiman/Pratchett), Treasure Island (Stevenson), The Lies of Locke Lamora (Lynch), and Ready Player One (Cline).
I have a tendency to ramble. I also usually don't make any sense. Consider yourself warned.
I have friends in my head. No, not the fantastical fun idea of multiples and fictives that seem to be spreading like a virus. Mine coe from a need for survival. I don't think I will go too much into that story here, if ever, because I am to the point now where it does not affect my day-to-day life very much. I'm pretty open about it, though, so if you are ever curious about something, just ask. Please don't look to Hollywood ot Tumblr to answer your questions about multiple personalities...
