Today was pretty eventful. My friend and I headed to the book fair where we both made out like bandits. This year I only got 4 books. I got A Midsummer Night #nofilter (Shakespeare and Brett Wright), Press Start to Play (various authors), The Complete Arrows Trilogy (Mercedes Lackey), and a book of Penguin Classics crossword puzzles to keep me entertained at school. Overall, not a bad haul. I think my record for this particular annual book fair is getting 12 new books. While we were there, we also watched Professor Wizard's Wonders of Science, which is always a fun little science show. He performs at the book fair every year.

After the book fair, I took my friend to Hoffman's, which is a local treasure. They make amazing homemade ice cream, and are really well known and loved around here. We then wandered the mall for a little bit, and I introduced her to the awesomeness that is FYE (for those out west, it's like the east coast version of Hastings), and she was so amazed and impressed by the selection. From there, we grabbed dinner with my parents and oldest brother at The Greene Turtle, which is a popular franchise in my state. It's a sports bar, with really good food.

After dinner, we went back to the mall and saw Deadpool. I have to admit, I actually really loved it. I didn't think I would like it at all, but it was pretty much the perfect balance of crude humor, vulgarity, love story, drama, action, gore, etc etc etc. When we got back, we watched one of my favorite movies/musicals ever, Jack and the Cuckoo Clock Heart. I absolutely love that movie (it's on Netflix if anyone is interested).

We head back to schol tomorrow. Wish me another safe and uneventful drive!
